Magical Torches
Magical Torches adds eight torch blocks, each with its own magical effect, for players who want light that does more than shed it.
What it does
Magical Torches adds eight torches with magical effects. Each torch is a separate block: Small Torch, Medium Torch, Grand Torch, Mega Torch, Alone Torch, Bat Torch, Sound Muffling Torch and Chicken Egg Torch. Players place them like ordinary torches, and each one changes what happens around it. The torches are meant for builds where light and effect should be chosen together.
Both the server and every player need the mod, because it runs on the client and the server together. Server owners who play with friends must install it on the server as well as on each client. The author notes that the server needs to be set up with the mod, and that players who do not know how to configure one can rent a server that is already prepared.
The mod is published for Forge and NeoForge across 26 release versions, 1.17.1 – 26.3. Forge builds are current as of 2026-10-10, and NeoForge builds were last updated on 2026-10-06. The code is not open source, and all rights are reserved by GeheimagentNr1.
