Lovely Robot: Legacy
by Heria Zone
Lovely Robot: Legacy adds a companion robot that players craft, name and bring along, with several robot types that level up over time.
What it does
Players craft a robot, give it a name and take it along on adventures. The companion gains experience and levels up, with type-specific caps between 80 and 150. Named robots level a little faster, and each robot can be given one name. Each type has its own personality, stat profile and combat role, and 16 dye colours are available for each type.
The mod works with an optional protection system: a robot's damage type resistance scales with its level and integrates with enchantments. Combat specialisations give each robot type unique abilities and combat patterns. Sitting animations support boats and minecarts. A robot's health is kept across world reloads, and if it dies nearby its core flies back to the player's inventory automatically. A glowing outline shows where a robot is when it is out of range, and Ctrl+Shift+Empty Hand converts it back into an item without losing data.
The mod requires Geckolib, HZLib and LovelyLib. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.21.1, under the MIT License, and the mod is not open source.
