Loots
by yigitguven
Loots adds mystery loot pouches that hostile mobs can drop on death, with four rarity tiers for NeoForge 1.21.1.
What it does
Hostile mobs have a chance to drop bundles when they die. Each pouch comes in one of four rarities, Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary, and higher-tier mobs have better odds of dropping a stronger one. The items inside are placed at random across a 27-slot grid, much like the contents of a treasure chest, so a single pouch can yield very different results.
The pouches open in the familiar Minecraft container interface, so no new screen needs to be learned. Once the loot has been generated, a player can only take items out and cannot put them back. The mod is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and its source code, issue tracker and wiki are linked from the project. It runs on NeoForge, with files for 1.21.1 published in the alpha channel and a latest build dated 2026-03-06.
Environment is client and server, so the server and every player need the mod installed. The mod was first published on 2026-03-03 by yigitguven and is filed under Mobs, with Adventure, Economy and Equipment as secondary categories.
Key features
Mystery loot pouches
Hostile mobs drop bundles of random items upon death, giving a reason to fight them for their drops.
Four rarity tiers
Pouches are sorted into Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary tiers, and the tier depends on the mob that dropped it.
Randomized slots
Items are scattered across a 27-slot grid, so the layout of each pouch differs from the last.
Take-only contents
Once loot is generated, items can only be taken out, and nothing can be put back into the pouch.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
