Longer Days
by clo4
Longer Days extends each in-game day on the server and can pause the day cycle at set times, giving players more time before night.
What it does
Longer Days lengthens the day cycle. By default a day lasts 10 minutes, and five pauses of 1 minute each stop the clock at set points, adding 15 minutes. Each pause duration can be configured, and three extra pauses can be added during the night so nights last longer as well. The change is small enough that it is not noticeable during play, and it gives players more room for longer tasks, which matters most when sleeping is disabled.
The mod is a data pack and can be installed as a mod on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt. Only the server needs it to be running it, and players may add it without changing what they see. The shader pack Complementary Unbound reads the day cycle to control clouds, so pausing the day stops them as well. Files cover game versions 1.20.3 – 1.21.8 and are released under the MIT License, and the project is open source.

How it compares
Extra Long Days works on the server, and players may add it on the client. It is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later and covers 1.20 – 1.21.11. Dynamic Daytime needs the server to run it, with players optional, and covers 1.21 – 1.21.5 under the MIT License. Real Time of Day can run on either side, and neither needs it; it is open source under the MIT License, but only on Fabric for 1.16 – 1.21.6.

What the author says
Longer Days is a data pack, installable as a mod, that extends the length of the day by pausing at specific times. This gives players just a bit more time to make meaningful accomplishments, and is especially helpful when the sleeping is disabled. The GIF shows this in action.
