Limitless Enchantments
Limitless Enchantments removes the vanilla cap on enchanted book levels, so a book can carry a level above the usual maximum, and it sets the upper limit with a configurable setting.
What it does
Vanilla Minecraft caps enchantment levels, and the mod raises that cap, with a configurable maximum level that can be set as high as 255 in practice. The Maximum Enchantment Level setting controls the limit, and setting it to 0 keeps the normal maximum levels. The creative inventory screen only shows enchanted books up to level 255, so higher books have to be obtained another way.
Librarian villager trades are handled by two settings: Maximum Enchantment Level sets the highest level traded, and Maximum Trade Level acts as a separate limit on librarian trades. A value of -1 lets villagers trade books above the vanilla maximums, and the Rebalanced Trades option lets the mod rebalance those trades. The mod is a server-side and client-side install with a shared config, and it requires Fabric API and Architectury API on Fabric, while Forge, NeoForge and Quilt builds need Architectury API.
Key features
Higher enchantment caps
The maximum enchantment level can be raised far above the vanilla limit, up to 255 in practice.
Trade level limit
A separate Maximum Trade Level setting caps the levels librarians will sell, independent of the enchantment cap.
Enchantment blacklist
Specific enchantments can be blacklisted so the level setting does not apply to them.
Blacklist commands
The limitless command lists, adds, removes and clears blacklisted enchantments, and shows the mod version when run without arguments.
