Lil' Wings adds twelve butterfly species to Minecraft, along with more than fifty items and a handful of blocks that help players bring life into the world.

What it does

Players catch butterflies with a net and keep them in glass jars. Placing a glass jar in the world is done by right-clicking the ground with a glass bottle, and a butterfly is let out of its jar by right-clicking the jar with an empty net. Each butterfly has a unique function and can help with special actions while it is held in a jar, from transforming blocks to picking up items. Some butterflies also produce items that heal players standing nearby.

The mod needs Fabric API and Geckolib on Fabric, and Geckolib on Forge. A player who installs it can open the More information book, found as the Great Butter Book, which is usable once Patchouli is installed. Lil' Wings is published for Fabric and Forge across three release versions, 1.18.2 – 1.19.2, and all files are under All rights reserved, so the code is not open source. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod.
