LibGuiFoxified

by ThinkingStudio

LibGuiFoxified is a Forge and NeoForge library that lets mod authors describe GUIs logically instead of positioning every element by hand.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1 – 1.21.4

What it does

Rather than building a screen from a fixed background image with pixel-aligned slots, a developer describes the layout and the library draws it on the fly, in the style of a modern GUI system. Panels, item slot grids and their offsets are set in code, and the colors, opacity and styles of panels can be customized or extended. It is an unofficial port of the LibGui approach to NeoForge, and it is open source under the MIT License. Client and server both need it, and files cover 1.20.1 – 1.21.4 for Forge and NeoForge.

Key features

  1. Logical GUI layout

Screens are described as a set of elements, and the library computes their positions instead of relying on a background image.

  2. Item slot grids

Grids of item slots can be placed and offset from code, so inventory-style screens line up without manual pixel work.

  3. Customizable panels

Panel styles, colors and opacity can be changed or extended, so mods built on the library can match their own look.

What the author says

Minecraft GUIs without spending forever painstakingly aligning things to the background image. Instead, LibGui takes a logical description of your GUI, and draws it on-the-fly like any modern GUI system. Controls can be hung on an itemslot grid or offset from it. Panel styles, colors, and opacity can be customized…
