Leveling Bench
by Cristian06kk
Leveling Bench is a workstation that lets players raise enchantment levels on tools, weapons and armor past the vanilla cap, paid for with minerals.
What it does
The Leveling Bench is a special workstation. Players place tools, weapons or armor on it and spend minerals to upgrade the enchantments already on the item. As the target level increases from 1, the point cost grows along a smooth curve, so pushing toward the extreme ceiling of 255 requires large quantities of material. Netherite ingots, gold, iron, copper and ancient debris are accepted, each with its own point value, and block forms such as a diamond block or iron block are worth nine times their material.
Enchantments capped at level 1 in vanilla, such as Mending, Silk Touch and Infinity, appear in a list that can be leveled further, and the bench only offers options that can actually be selected. Shift-click raises an enchantment to its maximum in one action. The server and every player need the mod installed. It is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, for game versions 1.18.2 – 26.2, and is released under the MIT License, not open source.
Recipes for the bench follow the standard vanilla format and appear automatically in recipe viewers such as REI and JEI. Other mods that add enchantments are handled automatically, and no configuration is needed to read them from the tool.
