Legible Alchemy
by VoidLeech
Legible Alchemy corrects potion brewing recipes that recipe viewers fail to show, and it adds a standard way to register potion-independent recipes.
What it does
Some potion recipes are missing from recipe viewers even when they can be brewed in game. The mod looks up brewing recipes and tries to repair the ones that are not listed, so that viewers show them. The author notes that potion recipes cannot be added through datapacks, which is why the mod works through the game's brewing classes instead.
The mod also provides a way to add recipes that do not depend on a specific potion, such as splash variants, without registering each potion separately. Mods that use brewing recipes can rely on the BrewingRecipe class for ingredient lookups. Some recipes are intentionally absent for certain potions, and the author states that the mod does not cover those cases.
Legible Alchemy is published for Forge and NeoForge on Minecraft 1.20.1 only, and it runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. The license is a custom one, and the mod is not open source, though its source code and issue tracker are public.
Key features
Recipe viewer fixes
Brewing recipes that recipe viewers miss are corrected, so their listings match what can be brewed.
Potion-independent recipes
A single registration can cover recipes such as splash potions that apply to many potions at once.
Brewing recipe lookups
Ingredient lookups go through the BrewingRecipe class, which mods can use when they only receive the interface type.
Public issue tracker
The author asks that affected mods be reported on the public issue tracker so the recipe checks can be extended.

How Create's automated brewing doesn't pick up the input potion or ingredient even after you've figured out the recipe? Potion recipes (sadly) aren't datapackable. That also means there's no…
