Legacy LazyDFU
by contaria
Legacy LazyDFU is an unofficial backport of the LazyDFU optimization for Legacy Fabric, aimed at Minecraft 1.13.x.
What it does
The mod makes DataFixerUpper initialization lazy, so the work of building fixers is deferred until it is actually needed rather than run at startup. Minecraft normally creates its data migration rules immediately, and this change postpones that step. The code is a backport of LazyDFU 0.1.2 with the legacy mappings adjusted to match the older game. Legacy Fabric is the only loader it supports, and the project is open source under the MIT License. Builds cover 1.13 – 1.13.2, with 0.1.2 for 1.13.2 as the latest file. It is an optional client or server mod, so either side can run it alone or both can run it together.
Key features
Lazy DataFixerUpper setup
DataFixerUpper initialization is deferred until a migration is required, avoiding work that is never used.
Startup work reduced
Building migration rules is postponed, so the game does not perform that setup at launch when no migration is needed.
Deferred data migration
Migration rules are created only when older world data has to be converted to a newer format.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
