Lapisworks
by Real-Luxof
Lapisworks lets players spend Lapis enchanting power through Hex Casting's media system, so enchantments can be applied to the player's own body and gear.
What it does
Hex Casting's media enchant is the core mechanic: lapis-based power is drawn through Hex Casting patterns and used to attach enchantments to the player, not only to items. Lapisworks requires Hex Casting and Trinkets, and it can add to Hexal, Hexical, Hextended Staves, Hierophantics and EMI when those are installed.
The mod is an open source Fabric addon for Minecraft 1.20.1, released under CC0 1.0 Universal, so its code, issue tracker and wiki are public. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files were first published on 2025-08-03 and last updated on 2026-10-11, with 1.5.8.6 as the latest build.
Key features
Body enchantments
Enchantments can be applied to the player's skin, feet, arms and fists, giving effects beyond simple stat buffs.
Enchanted swords and staves
Swords and staves can be enchanted permanently, and each enchantment gives the weapon special uses.
Spell-driven enchanting
Lapis power is channeled through Hex Casting patterns, so enchanting is done by casting rather than by an anvil or enchanting table.
Recovered lore
The mod recreates knowledge from an ancient wizard who was among the most skilled Lapisworkers, and that knowledge provides the enchantments.

Use cases
Magic-focused survival
Players who already use Hex Casting can extend their spell system with enchantments that act on their body and weapons.
Who it’s for: Players who build magic progression on Hex Casting and server owners who want a shared enchanting system alongside Trinkets accessories.
How it compares
Hex Casting Media Display is a client-side only Fabric mod for 1.20.1, released under the MIT License, so it changes nothing on the server. Hexic is a client and server Fabric mod for 1.20.1 under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, so servers need it too. Hextra Patterns is also client and server on Fabric 1.20.1 and is released under CC0 1.0 Universal, the same license as Lapisworks.
