KubeJS Immersive Engineering

by KubeJS

With KubeJS Immersive Engineering, recipes and integration for Immersive Engineering content can be scripted through KubeJS on Forge.

ForgeClient and serverGNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.16.2 – 1.19.2

What it does

The mod connects the KubeJS scripting framework to Immersive Engineering, letting server scripts read and change its machines, multiblocks and recipes without a separate Java mod. Pack authors write these changes in KubeJS script files, which is useful for modpacks that rebalance the Immersive Engineering progression.

It requires Immersive Engineering and KubeJS to be installed alongside it. Both sides need it, since it runs across the server and every player's client. Builds target Forge for game versions 1.16.2 – 1.19.2, with 1902.2.3-build.18 for 1.19.2 as the latest file, and the code is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.

Development is tracked on public source code, an issue tracker and a wiki, and the first release came out on 2023-08-21.

Key features

  1. Immersive Engineering scripting

Scripts can access Immersive Engineering machines and multiblocks through the KubeJS API.

  2. Recipe changes

Recipes added by Immersive Engineering can be removed, replaced or added from KubeJS scripts.

  3. Integration layer

The mod supplies the bindings that let KubeJS understand Immersive Engineering objects, so no custom Java code is needed for common edits.

  4. Pack-level control

Changes live in script files that a modpack can ship, so one set of edits applies across a whole server.
