Kill streaks
by 100vka
Kill streaks is a Forge mod for 1.20.1 that tracks consecutive kills and rewards a player who keeps their streak going.
What it does
Each kill a player scores extends a running streak. The count resets when that player is taken down, so a death ends the current streak. The system is simple by design, with a single counter per player and no extra menus to learn.
The mod is client required, while the server can run it as an optional addition. Files are published for Forge 1.20.1 only, and the latest file is 0.6.5, released 2026-07-27 on the alpha channel. It is released under the MIT License but is not open source.
Key features
Kill counter
A kill adds one to the player's streak, so consecutive kills build a visible running total.
Streak reset on death
Being taken down ends the current streak, so the count starts again from zero on the next kill.
Lightweight system
The streak logic stays simple, with no separate progression screens or extra currencies to manage.

What the author says
I am excited to introduce a simple and fun system for kill streaks! When you score a kill, you earn yourself a kill streak, and that is definitely something to celebrate! Just keep in mind that if you get taken down, you will lose your current kill streak.
