In inventories and chests, Keyboard Place Fix adjusts right-click handling for players who already run Keyboard Place (KBP) through an outside mouse setup or a key remapper.

What it does

When KBP is enabled through an external mouse setup or remapper, right-click actions inside inventories can fail or feel inconsistent. This Fabric mod restores vanilla right-click behavior in inventory screens, so KBP keeps its normal gameplay flow everywhere else. Interactions with chests and other storage containers, including splitting stacks of 64, are corrected as well.

The mod does not change the core functionality of KBP and does not generate KBP itself; it only works where KBP is already enabled externally with a mouse or software remapper. It is client-side only, so a server does not need it and players join without installing anything. It requires Fabric API and Mod Menu. Builds cover 1.21 – 26.2 across 16 release versions, and the latest Fabric file is 1.2.2+mc26.2 for 26.2, released 2026-08-17.
