JAOPCA

by TheLMiffy1111

JAOPCA, short for Just A Ore Processing Compatibility Attempt, adds ore processing compatibility to many other mods by dynamically generating items and recipes.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.7.10 – 26.1.2

What it does

Ore processing support is generated at load time, so items and recipes for many machine and processing mods are created without hand-written data. Its design draws on an earlier ore processing mod by a different author. Versions cover Minecraft 1.7.10 – 26.1.2 across ten release versions, and the latest Forge file is 1.7.10-W.0.8.32 for 1.7.10 while the latest NeoForge file is 26.1.2-6.0.2.2 for 26.1.2.

The mod requires UniMixins on Forge and NeoForge. Optional integrations exist for Applied Energistics 2, CraftTweaker, Ender IO, Mekanism, Tinkers' Construct and a number of other processing mods, and four catalog mods depend on it: JAOPCAGT, JAOPCA Extras, JAOPCASingularities and JATiCA. Installation covers the server and each player's game. It is released under the MIT License and is open source; the source code and issue tracker are public.

The mod does not turn materials into one shared set. Players wanting material unification should look at UniDict or Almost Unified instead, and ores without tags need KubeJS, Open Loader or Json Things added by hand, because recent builds skip them.

Key features

  1. Generated processing recipes

Items and recipes for supported processing mods are created dynamically rather than shipped as fixed data files.

  2. Optional mod integrations

Support for machine, power and processing mods activates only when the matching mod is present.

  3. Ore dictionary handling

Entries for mods that register ore dictionary names late or inconsistently are handled through dedicated support.

  4. Reduced redundant items

The 1.12.2 and 1.16.5 builds aim to produce fewer redundant items and offer more customization options.

Questions

Does JAOPCA need UniMixins?

Yes. UniMixins is a required dependency on both Forge and NeoForge, so it has to be installed alongside JAOPCA.

Does the server need JAOPCA?

Yes. Servers that run it need every player to install it too.

Why does an ore without tags not appear in JAOPCA?

Recent builds do not support ores without tags. Those ores can be added manually with KubeJS, Open Loader or Json Things.
