Iron's RPG Tweaks

by iron431

Iron's RPG Tweaks changes how combat, durability, hunger, XP, sleep and enchanting work in vanilla Minecraft, through a set of configurable modules.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.19.2 – 26.1.2

What it does

Each part of the mod is a separate module that can be switched on or adjusted in the in-game config editor. The combat module changes damage ticks, removing invulnerability frames after a hit so that a mob takes damage more often, and it lets server owners set knockback, attack strength and whether non fully-charged attacks are allowed. The XP module swaps the usual experience drop on death for an XP Catalyst left behind, and collecting it returns the lost experience; it can also ignore keepInventory or renew stakes on death even when keepInventory is enabled. The durability module turns off vanilla durability use and charges equipped items durability loss on death instead.

Hunger is handled by its own module, which strips out the vanilla hunger bar so that food heals the player directly, with settings for natural regeneration and the timing of food, potions and sprinting. The sleep module stops beds from skipping the night until a player becomes Drowsy, a potion brewed from a leaf. The enchanting module hides enchantments on found gear until they are identified, through a Scroll of Identification, equipping an item at one's own risk, or right-clicking an enchanting table with an unidentified item.

Iron's RPG Tweaks is published for Forge and NeoForge, with builds for 1.19.2, 1.20, 1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.21.1 and 26.1.2. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source, though its source code and issue tracker are public.

What the author says

It is highly recommended and encouraged to play with an in-game config editor! The primary mechanic surrounding the Combat Module is the removal of damage ticks, or invulnerability frames, after a player or mob takes damage. This suits multiplayer, where multiple players are attacking, as well as modpacks with a…
