Inventory Sort

by wzz

Inventory Sort is a Forge utility that tidies the player inventory and moves stacks between containers with a key press and a modifier click.

ForgeClient and serverApache License 2.0Open source1.20.1

What it does

Pressing R sorts the player inventory, and the key can be rebound in the settings under the organize items entry. Holding Space while left-clicking an item moves it instantly between the player inventory and an open container. The mod targets Minecraft 1.20.1 and is published only for Forge, with its source code available under the Apache License 2.0. Because of technical limits, it must be installed on both the client and the server for multiplayer to work properly.

Key features

  1. Sort inventory with a key

A single key press sorts the items in the player inventory, and the binding can be changed in the controls settings.

  2. Instant item transfer

Space combined with a left click moves stacks instantly between the player inventory and an open container.

  3. Organize items key

The organize action has its own key entry, so sorting can be reassigned without editing any file.
