Inventory Manager: Smart Storage
Inventory Manager: Smart Storage gives players a chest-management interface for sorting, searching and transferring items between chests, and a way to show chest contents in the world.
What it does
Registered chests are tracked by the mod, which detects them around the player. Chests can be renamed, and a search bar inside each chest lets players find items quickly. Transfer buttons move stacks between a chest and the player inventory, and automatic sorting keeps contents in order. A favorites system holds important items such as tools and weapons in fixed slots, so they stay where they are when a chest is sorted.
An automatic deposit system links specific items to specific chests. Once configured, selected items are put into their chest without moving everything by hand, which suits survival bases and large storage rooms. An item can also be shown on a chest in the world, on the front, back, left or right side, so the contents are readable without opening it. Double chests are supported. The mod runs on the client and the server, so the server and every player need it, and it is published for Fabric only, for 26.1.2 and 26.2 with Fabric API required. Server Storage Item Frame is a server-side only Fabric mod for 26.1.1, released under the MIT License and not open source. ChestSorter is client-side only, for 1.21.1, under the Apache License 2.0 and not open source, so it needs no server install. Stardew Chest Buttons and Linked Vanilla Chests both run on client and server, but Stardew Chest Buttons targets 26.2 – 26.3, while Linked Vanilla Chests covers 26.1.2 – 26.2, the same range as this mod.
