Rotten Recycler

by CoopTechGames

Rotten Recycler lets players turn rotten flesh into leather in a furnace and craft the result back up from fragments.

FabricClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20 – 26.2

What it does

Rotten flesh can be smelted in a furnace to produce a Leather Fragment. Nine Leather Fragments can then be crafted into one piece of leather, so the recycling takes two steps. A Leather Fragment Ingredients entry is added to the creative inventory tab for players who want the fragments without playing through the steps.

The mod is described by its author as a small, deliberately simple addition that stays close to vanilla behavior. It adds no new mobs, dimensions or screens. Its recipes and item are the only additions, which keeps it compatible with other mods, though the author notes do not list any specific compatibility.

Rotten Recycler runs on Fabric and requires Fabric API. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Builds cover 1.20 – 26.2 across 21 release versions, and the latest file, 1.0.0, targets 26.2. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.

  2. Fragment crafting recipe

Nine Leather Fragments combine into one leather, restoring the item at a fixed ratio.

  3. Creative tab entry

Leather Fragment is listed in the ingredients section of the creative inventory for quick access.
