Instant Respawn

by spunkyinsaan

Instant Respawn removes the death screen, so a player returns to the spawn point immediately after dying, without clicking the Respawn button.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.21 – 1.21.8

What it does

Instead of showing the death screen, the mod catches the moment a player dies and skips it, so the player returns to the spawn point without pressing Respawn. It uses Minecraft's internal respawn mechanics, so the return happens inside the normal game flow rather than through a separate system.

It is aimed at players who want fewer delays after a death, such as during intense survival fights or PvP moments where waiting through menus interrupts play. It works in both singleplayer and multiplayer, and a lightweight config is included so there is little to set up after installation.

The mod is published for Fabric only, across nine release versions 1.21 – 1.21.8, with 1.0 for 1.21.8 as the latest file. Because only the client needs it, players install it themselves and servers can run without it. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Skipped death screen

The death screen is skipped entirely, so no menu appears between dying and returning to play.

  2. Instant spawn point return

The player is placed at the spawn point as soon as the death is registered, without a click.

  3. Singleplayer and multiplayer

The respawn behavior applies in both singleplayer worlds and multiplayer games.

  4. Lightweight config

A small config file is included, and the mod needs little setup after it is placed in the mods folder.

Use cases

Survival and PvP fights

Players in close combat can return to the fight without waiting through the Respawn screen.

Fast-paced play

Anyone who wants fewer clicks and pauses after a death can use the mod to keep the flow of play.

Who it’s for: Players who play Fabric survival or PvP worlds and prefer to return to the spawn point without a death menu. Server owners can leave the mod out, since only the client needs it.
