Infested is a Cursed server mod in which silverfish spread an Infected effect to players and mobs they already touch, lasting 60 seconds per target.

What it does

Silverfish can infest targets that are already infected, and the Infected effect lasts 60 seconds on each target it reaches. The effect clears once the timer runs out. A data pack provides the same effect through a custom enchantment named infested, which appears on an enchanted book.

The server must run the mod, while a player may leave it out and still join. Infested is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across six release versions, 1.21.5 – 1.21.11.
