Infected World
Infected World is a NeoForge mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 that slowly spreads an infection across the world as time passes.
What it does
Over time the infection gradually takes over the terrain of a world, so areas change the longer a player stays in them. Infected wildlife appears alongside it, and once an animal is fully infected it turns hostile, which can cut off the animals a player relies on for food early in a run. Both sides of a server need the mod, since client and server must each run it. The code is under the MIT License and is not open source. Files are published for NeoForge only, for 1.21.1, with version 5.0 as the latest file from 2026-08-20.
