Hotbar Restock
Hotbar Restock refills a hotbar slot automatically once the stack in it runs out, so a player building or mining keeps the same item in reach.
What it does
When the last item in a hotbar slot is used up, the mod pulls a matching stack from elsewhere in the inventory and places it into that slot. It works with stackable items, which covers blocks for building, tools and common supplies used in mining, farming and fights where many of the same item are used in a row.
The mod is a simple utility with a light footprint and no settings to learn. It requires Fabric API and is built for Fabric only, with files published for 26.1.2. Only the client needs it, so servers can run without it and players can join without installing anything on the server side. The code is released under the MIT License, but the project is not open source.
Key features
Automatic hotbar refill
A hotbar slot is topped up from the inventory as soon as its last item is consumed or placed.
Stackable item support
Matching stacks of blocks and other stackable items are chosen for the refill, so building runs are not interrupted.
Building and mining use
Long runs of placing blocks or swinging a tool keep the hotbar stocked without manual reordering.
Minimal interface
The refill happens in the background with no added screens or menus, in keeping with vanilla controls.

Use cases
Long building session
A player placing a wall of one block type keeps the slot filled from the rest of the inventory without reopening it.
Mining with a stack of torches
Torches or pickaxes in a hotbar slot are replaced from storage as they run out during a cave run.
Who it’s for: Players who use many copies of the same item in a row, such as builders, miners and farmers, and who want the hotbar kept stocked without manual work.
