HDSkins
by Lvkas_
HDSkins, a Fabric client mod, lets a player wear a high-resolution skin of up to 2048x2048 pixels in place of the standard 64x64 texture.
What it does
Skins are uploaded through the HDSkins dashboard on hdskins.de, which the mod opens in the browser from its HD icon on the title screen or pause menu. The account logs in automatically, and a PNG uploaded there appears in the game without any registration step. Skin changes show up live, so a player does not need to rejoin a server after switching.
Other players who run HDSkins see the high-resolution skin on the player model, while players without the mod still see the normal Minecraft skin and nothing breaks for them. Classic and slim arm models are both supported, and skins of 128x128 pixels and up are accepted. Because the shared network carries the textures, a server needs no plugin of its own. The mod is client-side only, so only the client needs it, and Fabric API must be installed beside it.
