Bronze&Tin
by Disketaa
Bronze&Tin adds tin and bronze blocks, tools, armor and light sources to the vanilla game for NeoForge 1.21.1, with options to tune the changes.
What it does
Tin and bronze blocks join the decorative set. Tin decorative blocks and bronze decorative blocks each carry their own placement sounds, and a tin bulb and a bronze bulb provide light with fifteen light level modes, matching the behavior of the copper bulb. A tin flute can be played as an instrument, and bronze armor gives equipping sounds when a player puts it on.
Progression changes too. Blocks of the copper family can be broken with wooden tools rather than stone ones, and because bronze tools are added, stone tools can no longer be obtained. The flint knife is also removed from obtainable items. Nether slag drops copper, tin and iron nuggets, and some mobs spawn naturally with bronze gear. Tin ore has surface generation support, and a toggled config lets server owners adjust the mod's options.
The mod requires Farmer's Delight, Friends&Foes and Geophilic as optional dependencies, and each one can be installed beside it. Bronze&Tin is client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, which makes it open source. Files exist for NeoForge on 1.21.1 only, with 0.5.5 as the latest build from 2025-05-20.
Key features
Tin and bronze decorative blocks
Decorative blocks in tin and bronze, each with its own placement and break sounds, for building rooms and workshops.
Light bulbs with fifteen modes
The tin bulb and bronze bulb have fifteen light level modes and work like the copper bulb.
Wooden tools for copper-type blocks
Wooden tools are the right pick for mining copper-type blocks here instead of stone tools, which shifts the choices made early in a world.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who want a metallic decoration set and a few early-game progression changes on NeoForge 1.21.1, and server owners who want to tune those changes through the config.
How it compares
Bronze Gear is also NeoForge 1.21.1 and client and server, but it is released under the MIT License. Hex's Bronze Mod covers 1.20.4 – 1.21.1 on NeoForge and is closed under All rights reserved, so it is not open source. Bronze&Tin is the only one of these that is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.
