Geophilic
With Geophilic installed, Overworld biomes gain fallen trees, forest clearings, boulders, tree stumps, bushes and moss while vanilla trees stay close to their usual shape.
What it does
The mod reworks vanilla Overworld biomes by adding small features such as fallen trees, forest clearings, boulders, tree stumps, bushes and moss. Its one major change to trees is their height at generation, which is lower, so tall trees no longer crowd the space above a player's head. Block palettes and wood types are kept to what vanilla already places in each biome, so existing progression and feel are preserved.
The mod is described by its author as a simple update to the feel of vanilla biomes rather than a large worldgen overhaul. Geophilic can be configured through Datapack Toolkit, and it is also available as a data pack for server platforms. The author notes that new versions may change or remove features, and that backups remain good practice when updating.
The server must run it, while players may leave it out. Geophilic is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with files covering 1.19 – 26.3 and snapshot builds. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source, though its source code and issue tracker are public.

Use cases
Adding variety to a vanilla world
Players who want more detail in familiar biomes can add stumps, fallen logs and mossy ground without changing the progression.
Server-side worldgen tweaks
Server owners can add the mod on their side, and players need nothing extra to see the new features.
Who it’s for: Players who want a light update to vanilla Overworld biomes, and server owners who want the same biome changes on a multiplayer world.

What the author says
Geophilic adds variety to a host of biomes. You can find a plethora of new features, from simple fallen trees to forest clearings. There are boulders, tree stumps, bushes, moss, and more. Trees remain true to vanilla, with the one major change being how tall trees generate, so you don't bump your head so often! Care…
