Harder Elytras changes how the elytra is obtained, replacing the usual end-ship drop with a crafted elytra core and a recipe built on Eyes of Ender.
What it does
Harder Elytras was made because the elytra was quick to obtain once a player reached the End and defeated the Ender Dragon, and some players had one within their first day in a world. The mod makes the elytra harder to obtain in two ways. The recipe for the elytra now uses Eye of Ender with extra resources, and the elytra no longer drops from End ships; in its place, a new item called the elytra core is found in End ships and is used in the crafting recipe.
The mod requires the Fabric loader and runs on the client and the server, so both need it. It is published for 1.21.6 only, with version 1.0.0 released on 2025-06-24, and it is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial Share Alike 4.0 license. The recipes are documented in the gallery, and the author recommends TheDestruc7i0n's crafting recipe generator for working them out.

This is a simple mod made to make obtaining elytras harder. I think many of us would agree that the Elytra is pretty OP, and they're quite easy to obtain once you get good at the game. You just have to beat the Ender Dragon (which isn't that hard), and then just run around and suddenly you have an Elytra!
