Handycam
by vercim
With Handycam installed, the in-game camera gains a subtle handheld sway that makes Minecraft look like it was filmed with a real camera.
What it does
Handycam adds gentle, physics-inspired camera movement while the player moves through the world. The sway is meant to resemble footage shot on a handheld camera rather than a locked-off view. Its strength can be set with an intensity slider, and the effect can be switched off without removing the mod.
The mod is installed on the client only, so a server does not need it and players can join a server without it. Handycam needs Cloth Config API and Fabric API, and Mod Menu is optional for opening its settings in-game. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 7 release versions, from 1.20.1 up to 26.2, and the source code is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, so it is open source.

Use cases
Cinematic recordings
Players who record gameplay footage can use the sway to give clips a filmed, handheld look.
Immersion in single-player
Players who want the world to feel more physical can keep the effect on during ordinary play.
Who it’s for: Players who want a handheld look in their own clients, and video creators who record Minecraft. Since only the client needs the mod, it suits single-player and multiplayer play alike, with no server setup.
How it compares
Camera Shakify is a Fabric-only, client-side mod under All rights reserved, not open source, for the same span of releases. Subtly Camera Shake is also client-side and Fabric-only, but it is open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license. Handycam instead ships for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge and is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.
