guy's Armor HUD

by AnAwesomGuy

guy's Armor HUD shows the armor pieces a player wears as a minimalistic widget on the screen, in the same style as the vanilla HUD.

FabricNeoForgeQuiltClient-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.21 – 1.21.1

What it does

The widget displays the current armor items and marks any piece whose durability has dropped low enough to warn the player. It is styled after the vanilla interface and carries no extra text or numbers, so the screen stays uncluttered. Position, size and other parameters are set in a configuration file, and the mod can be configured through Mod Menu on Fabric and Quilt, or through a JSON file in the config folder on NeoForge.

The mod is client-side only, so a server does not need it and players join without installing it. It is open source under the MIT License, with a public source code repository and issue tracker. Installation needs Fabric API on Fabric and Quilt. Builds are published for NeoForge, Fabric and Quilt, covering the 1.21 – 1.21.1 range, and the latest file for 1.21.1 dates from 2026-02-28.

Key features

  1. Vanilla-style armor widget

Armor items appear in a minimalistic widget that matches the look of the vanilla HUD.

  2. Durability warnings

A piece of armor whose durability is running low is flagged in the widget so the player can replace it.

  3. Placement options

The widget can be shown vertically or horizontally, at different anchors such as top center, and in a hotbar style.

  4. Multiple styles and rounded corners

Several visual styles are available, including a rounded-corner variant, to suit different HUD layouts.
