Gunpowder Crafting lets players make gunpowder by crafting it from flint and gravel-derived items, so a survival world does not depend on finding creepers.

What it does

The mod adds a crafting recipe for gunpowder built from flint, which is itself a drop from breaking gravel. Players who would otherwise need to hunt creepers, including in peaceful mode, can craft their own supply. The server must run the mod, while players may leave it out. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with the latest build for 26.2. The mod is released under the MIT License and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Gunpowder from flint

    Gunpowder can be crafted from flint, so creepers are not the only source of the item.

  2. Flint from gravel

    Breaking gravel has a chance to drop flint, and the chance is improved for players using a crafting recipe.

  3. Fixed drop chance

    Three flint recipe uses give a one-in-three drop chance, so stockpiling takes less time.
