Grid Easy

by Codeboy

Grid Easy draws a configurable 3D grid over the world, giving builders a visual reference for block alignment and spacing.

What it does

Grid Easy is a Fabric client-side utility for Minecraft builders who need precise alignment. It overlays a lightweight grid in the world, and each axis can be spaced independently from 1 to 64 blocks. The grid can be drawn in full three-dimensional form or as a flat plane, and the axis direction can be shown or hidden per axis. Origin offsets let a builder shift the grid to an existing point without rebuilding the setup.

Two pins measure distance between positions, with a readout of the block count, a breakdown of the difference along each axis, and the straight-line distance. The result is copied to the clipboard automatically. Permanent markers keep their names, coordinates and colors, up to 256 per world or server dimension, and stay in place even when the grid is off. Profiles store the spacing, origin, mode, visible axes, radius, colors and opacity, and can be switched instantly. The mod requires Fabric API and is published under the MIT License.

Key features

  1. Per-axis grid spacing

The X, Y and Z spacing can each be set between 1 and 64 blocks, and origin offsets align the grid to a chosen point.

  2. Two-pin measurement

Pressing the distance key places Pin A and Pin B, showing the block count and the per-axis and straight-line distance.

  3. Persistent markers

Markers are placed on the targeted block or in the air, and each keeps an editable name, coordinates and color.

  4. Reusable profiles

Complete grid configurations are saved as profiles, so a builder can return to a setup without re-entering values.
