Golden Reforged Items overhauls gold equipment with new recipes and abilities for pickaxes, axes, shovels and hoes, plus a golden potato, as a server-required mod with an optional client side.
What it does
Gold stops being only a decorative metal. The mod gives gold tools and equipment special abilities, and it adds four new recipes for gold pickaxes, axes, shovels and hoes, along with a new golden potato item. Gold becomes a situational choice: it can be better or worse than diamond or netherite depending on the task, so players weigh it against other materials instead of skipping it.
The mod is built to sit alongside vanilla gameplay without overshadowing existing equipment, and it rewards creative playstyles. It runs on the server and is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. Fabric builds need Fabric API, which is listed as an optional dependency. A data pack version is also available for servers, and its text is translated into English and French only.
Files target game versions 1.21.5 – 26.2, with snapshot builds published. The current release is v1.1.1 for 26.2. The author plans further additions in future updates. The code is not open source, and the mod is released under All rights reserved.

How it compares
Emerald Equipment and Amethyst Equipment are both server-required mods released under the MIT License, each adding a different material. Copper Reforged is a different kind of mod: it runs on Forge and NeoForge only, covers 1.20.1 – 1.21.1, and is not open source. Golden Reforged Items works on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge like Emerald Equipment.
