Godzilla: Rising

by debigbos47

Godzilla: Rising brings the kaiju from the Godzilla films into Minecraft, with several Godzilla variants, King Ghidorah and other monsters to find and fight.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1

What it does

The mod adds a roster of kaiju drawn from the Godzilla movies. Some of these monsters spawn naturally in the world, so players may run into them while exploring rather than only when they summon one.

The mod requires AttributeFix and Geckolib, which both need to be installed alongside it on Forge for 1.20.1. The author describes the project as still under development and asks players to report bugs, particularly with kaiju spawning naturally. Credit for the characters goes to TOHO and the original makers of Godzilla.

Godzilla: Rising is published for Forge only, with a single game version, 1.20.1, and its latest file is 1.0.0 from 27 August 2025. Both client and server need the mod, so the server and every player must install it. The code is covered by All rights reserved, so the mod is not open source.

Key features

  1. Heisei Godzilla and Burning Godzilla

Two Godzilla variants from the film series are included as creatures players can encounter in the world.

  2. King Ghidorah and Space Godzilla

The mod adds King Ghidorah and Space Godzilla as large monsters alongside the Godzilla variants.

  3. Mechagodzilla and Kiryu

Showa Mechagodzilla and Type-2 Kiryu join the roster, extending the set of mechanical and cybernetic kaiju.

  4. Heisei Mothra and Heisei Rodan

Heisei Mothra and Heisei Rodan add flying kaiju to the mod's monster set.
