What it does

The mod reworks the role of goat horns in combat, turning them into a support tool. A goat horn can summon a mob that is assigned to the player's team, and the summoned mob attacks hostile mobs of other teams. Different horn types summon different mobs, and those mobs scale as the horn is leveled up. Summoning has a 60 second cooldown, and the player receives weakness and mining fatigue for 60 seconds after each summon.

Enchantments are added for the horn, with five levels for the summon enchantment and a separate set of buff enchantments that apply to the player and nearby entities for 30 seconds. Some enchantments are incompatible with one another. Enchantments can be found in the enchanting table at low chance and through trading with villagers. The mod is delivered as a data pack alongside its loader builds, and it is vanilla compatible. Mobs summoned for the player must be on the player's team, so team membership needs to be set up first. Build 0.2+mod for 1.21.7 is the latest file on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt.

Key features

  1. Summoned team mobs

A horn blow summons a mob that joins the player's team and attacks hostile mobs from other teams.

  2. Horn-based mob types

The kind of horn used decides which mob is summoned, and the summoned mob grows stronger as the horn levels up.

  3. Buff enchantment set

Buff enchantments last 30 seconds after a blow and affect the player and entities nearby, with a second level raising strength.

  4. Enchanting and trading sources

Enchantments can be found in the enchanting table at low chance and through villager trades.

Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt. The latest file on each loader is 0.2+mod for 1.21.7.

What the author says

This datapack reworks the goat horn into a summoning and support role to boost the experience beyond the normal melee/ranged playstyles. This is added in the form of enchantments. All of these enchantments are incompatable with each other. The datapack is completly vanilla compatable and if you put it in your server…
