More Aspect Enchantments

by ma1kawa11

More Aspect Enchantments adds a set of elemental enchantments to the game, with eleven new aspects that include a reworked Fire Aspect.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltServer required, client optionalCC0 1.0 Universal1.21.4 – 26.2

What it does

The enchantments are grouped by element and draw loosely on the Avatar: The Last Airbender setting combined with Dungeons and Dragons, including a set of inner planes. Each enchantment applies a timed effect to the target or the user when a hit lands: a target can be set on fire, given bad luck, lifted into levitation, sunk into water, struck by lightning or made to slow down, while the user may gain absorption, night vision, water breathing, fire resistance or speed. Some hits also replace the ground around the target or place lava or powdered snow beneath it.

Several enchantments roll a chance on each hit. One adds a mineral loot table that a second level can extend with rarer drops, down to a very small chance of a netherite ingot. The maximum enchantment level is 2, and the mod states that the enchantments are incompatible with one another, so a player chooses one to use on a weapon. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and includes a data pack for server platforms. Its files cover 1.21.4 – 26.2 under a CC0 1.0 Universal license, which is not open source.

Key features

  1. Eleven new aspects

The mod adds eleven elemental enchantments, each built around a set of timed effects on hit.

  2. Reworked Fire Aspect

Fire Aspect is changed so it sets the target alight for a set duration and fits alongside the new aspects.

  3. Chance-based loot

A hit can grant an extra roll on a mineral loot table, and the second level adds a chance at rarer minerals.

  4. Timed status effects

Hits apply effects such as levitation, darkness, glow, slow falling and absorption for a short time, to either the target or the user.

  5. Incompatible enchantments

The enchantments are mutually exclusive, so a weapon carries only one of them at a time.

What the author says

Adds 11 new aspect enchantments and reworks Fire Aspect to be more usable. These enchantments are based on the elements, sort of like a minecraft-interpretation of Avatar the Last Airbender but combined with the DnD inner planes. The maximum enchant level is 2, but they will scale further if you use another mod to…
