Glowing-entities
by I-No-oNe
Glowing-entities lets a player make mobs and other entities emit light on their own screen, with the glow strength and light level set by the player.
What it does
The mod is client-sided. It changes how entities are drawn on the player's own screen, so the glow appears for that player only and the server does not need to run it. Cloth Config API is required, and Mod Menu is optional for opening the settings from a menu.
The glow strength can be replaced with a value, and the entity light level can be set to a number from 0 to 15. Turning the mod off is done by typing one of the chat commands it provides. The current main developer is ClickCrystals, and the second version was helped by a contributor named Legend. The source code and issue tracker are public, and the mod is released under the MIT License, so it is open source.
Key features
Entity glow
Mobs and other entities are drawn with a glowing outline on the client, making them easier to spot in dark areas.
Adjustable glow strength
The glowing effect strength can be replaced with a chosen value, giving the player control over how strong the outline looks.
Light level control
Each entity's light level can be set to a number between 0 and 15, changing how much light it gives off.
Chat commands
A command typed in chat turns the mod off, so the player can return to normal rendering without removing the file.

Use cases
Spotting mobs in caves
A player exploring dark caves can make hostile mobs glow so they stand out against the surroundings.
Tracking entities in a crowd
Players who want a clearer view of mobs in busy areas can raise the glow strength and light level to track them.
Who it’s for: Players on Fabric who want entities to glow on their own screen. Because the mod is client-side only, server owners do not need to install it.
