Friends&Foes (Fabric/Quilt)
by faboslav
Friends&Foes brings back mobs that were cut from the mob vote, such as the Crab, Copper Golem and Iceologer, and places them into the world.
What it does
Crabs wander mangrove swamps and beaches, and their claw is crafted into a potion that extends the player's reach. Breeding a crab requires kelp, since the animals bury their eggs in a safe place. Tuff Golems hold and display items given to them and can be fixed in place with a honeycomb. Rascal hides in the mines and hands out hints during hide-and-seek, rewarding the player with a bundle after three finds.
Copper Golems press copper buttons at random and oxidize over time, which an axe or honeycomb reverses. Glares live in lush caves, show where monsters can spawn, and can be tamed with glow berries. Iceologers are illagers found in spruce cabins in snowy terrain and attack with ice. The mod also adds a Moobloom and, among other items, a Totem of Freezing and a Zombie Horse. Friends&Foes needs Fabric API and Resourceful Lib, both required, while Mod Menu and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL) are optional. It works on Fabric and Quilt, is published for 1.18 – 26.3, and is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial No Derivatives 4.0 license, so it is not open source.
The mod is installed on the client and the server together. Five catalog mods depend on it, including Friends&Foes - Beekeeper Hut and Boss Checklist - Friends & Foes Compat.
