Friend Baubles [A Christmas Mod]

by HowfWuff

Friend Baubles brings Christmas decorations, gift boxes, cookies and a small set of festive weapons to a Fabric world, all in the vanilla style.

FabricClient and serverAll rights reserved1.21.8

What it does

The mod adds a themed decoration set for the winter holidays: colored ornaments that can be placed anywhere, red, green and white Christmas lights in four styles, and garlands and wreaths for doorways and walls. Stockings can be hung over a fireplace and dyed in several colors.

Gift boxes are functional containers that store the items placed in them. Craftable cookies and pudding can be placed or eaten. Villagers can work at a Workbench to take up a new Santa profession, who sells most of the items and decorations. A basic weapon set makes mobs catch fire for a brief moment and deals extra fire damage.

The mod needs Fabric API and runs on Fabric for 1.21.8 only. Installation covers the server and each player's game. The author notes that the list of items is not a full inventory and that some minor bugs may remain. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Christmas ornaments and lights

Colored ornaments can be placed anywhere, and Christmas lights come in red, green and white, mixed freely.

  2. Functional gift boxes

Gift boxes hold the items placed inside them, so they work as storage as well as decoration.

  3. Dyable stockings

Stockings hang over a fireplace and can be colored with dye to match the rest of the decor.

  4. Festive treats and weapons

Cookies and pudding can be crafted, placed or eaten, and a basic weapon set sets mobs on fire.

What the author says

Prepare for the winter holidays with vanilla-styled decorative Christmas blocks and items. Originally created for some friends on a server, so expect minor bugs and not too much content. This isn't a comprehensive list and there are more items and decorative blocks that you can craft or buy in the mod.
