FPV Drones
by jaaager
FPV Drones adds flyable drones to Minecraft Java Edition, with first-person camera flight, goggles and a simulated radio link.
What it does
The mod adds drones that the player pilots from a first-person view, using a camera mounted on the aircraft. Flight movement is modeled on real drone piloting rather than arcade controls, and the mod simulates battery voltage and signal distance. Trackpad, joystick, mouse and keyboard flight controls are supported.
Pilots wear FPV goggles to see the feed from the drone, and the cameras include thermal imaging. Drones can carry a customizable payload. Players can fly across the world, attempt trickshots and hold races with friends. The mod requires Geckolib on Forge, and it is published for 1.20.1 only.
Both the server and each player's client need the mod, as it runs on both sides. Files are released under All rights reserved, and the mod is not open source.
