Forcebound - A Star Wars Themed Mod
by OneZ
With Forcebound installed, NeoForge players can carry lightsabers, blasters and Force powers into Star Wars themed locations such as Tatooine and Mustafar.
What it does
Forcebound adds Star Wars themed content to Minecraft 1.21.8, including lightsabers in gold and steel finishes with their own sounds, and blasters. Force abilities give the player powers beyond ordinary weapons. The content is still being built out: the author says the German localization is incomplete and will not be finished before version 2.
Ship travel is part of the mod's planned scope: an ETA-2 style ship carries players to other planets, with Tatooine and Mustafar named as destinations. The mod also includes a tutorial book that lists its crafting recipes, and it shows them through Just Enough Items (JEI), which is an optional dependency.
A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Files are published for NeoForge only, for 1.21.4 and 1.21.8, with version 1.4 for 1.21.8 as the latest file, released on 2026-04-29. The mod is released under Creative Commons Attribution No Derivatives 4.0 and is not open source.
Key features
Lightsabers
Gold and steel lightsabers come with their own sounds, so each blade has a distinct feel in use.
Blasters
Blaster weapons join the lightsabers as Star Wars themed equipment for combat and exploration.
Force abilities
Force powers give the player abilities that work alongside the weapons, adding a second way to fight.
Crafting tutorial book
A tutorial book lists the crafting recipes for the new items, and JEI shows the same recipes in its lookup.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who want Star Wars themed weapons and Force powers in Minecraft 1.21.8 on NeoForge. Server owners should note that both sides must run the mod, and that the German translation is not complete.
How it compares
Star Wars Planet Stellaris is open source under the MIT License and runs on Fabric and NeoForge for 1.21 – 1.21.1, while Forcebound is NeoForge only for 1.21.4 and 1.21.8. Dan's Lightsabers (Star Wars) covers Forge and NeoForge for 1.20.1 – 1.21.1 and is not open source, so its version range differs from Forcebound's.
