Jack's Economy (Forked)

by SCsupercraft

Jack's Economy (Forked) gives a server a shared currency, automated buying and selling, and an item sink, with a custom GUI for setup.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverGNU Affero General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

The fork keeps the economy system of the original Jack's Economy mod and adds support for NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1 alongside Forge on 1.20.1. Its currency modes include a default single item mode, where currency items are removed except one dollar bill, which makes the economy easier to read and suits packs that want currency to feel more physical. A texture pack can restyle the bill to look like a gold coin or another item.

Modpack authors and server owners can use it to build a server-wide admin shop, with currency machines for setting up that shop. Automated buying and selling work with RF power and Create rotational power, and Create Game Stages integration is optional. Setup uses a custom GUI editor instead of hand-editing text files. The mod is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 only and is open source, with public links to its source code, issue tracker and wiki.

Key features

  1. Automated buying and selling

Items can be bought and sold automatically through machines, using RF or Create rotational power.

  2. Single item currency mode

The default mode removes currency items except one dollar bill, so the economy runs on a single item.

  3. Server-wide admin shop

Modpack authors and server owners can set up one shop that every player on the server uses.

  4. GUI-based configuration

Economy setup is done in a custom GUI editor rather than by editing text files.

What the author says

The reason I decided to make a fork is because of an announcement by Flapjack, which stated that 'official development for Jack's Economy has been and will be dead for the foreseeable future' because of this and the fact I use Jack's Economy for my modpack, I knew that I needed to make this fork. 1.21.1 NeoForge…
