FancySprites
by UserLog
FancySprites lets players place animated image sprites on the screen as a client-side HUD and GUI overlay, with blend modes and easing options.
What it does
Sprites are loaded from image files and animated on the HUD or in graphical screens. Each sprite can be given a blend mode such as additive or multiply, and motion can follow linear, ease, ease-out, bounce, elastic or step curves. Sprite packs are kept in the fsprites directory, where a sample sprite such as fsprites/sword image 0.png can be used as a starting point.
Only the client needs the mod, so players can use it on any server without asking the server owner to install anything. The mod requires Fabric API and runs on Fabric for 1.21.11, with the 1.0.0 file dated 2026-05-17 as its first release. The code is under the MIT License and is open source, and the source code is publicly available.
A settings button sits in the lower-right corner of the Escape menu and opens the FancySprites screen. Example sprites ship as a RAR archive, and players move them into the fsprites directory before they appear in the game.
