Extended Weather Radius
Extended Weather Radius raises the maximum value of the vanilla Weather Effects Radius option, so weather particles can reach farther from the player.
What it does
Vanilla Minecraft caps the Weather Effects Radius setting at a fixed maximum. This mod raises that ceiling, letting a player choose a larger radius for rain and snow particles. The setting itself stays the vanilla option, so no new menu or command is introduced; the only change is the higher upper limit the slider can reach.
The mod is client-side only, so the server does not need it and players on any server can use it alone. Files are published for Fabric and NeoForge, with the latest builds for 26.2, and the code is released under the MIT License as open source. Fabric API is required on Fabric. The release versions covered run 1.21.11 – 26.2, with 1.0.2 as the latest file.
Key features
Higher weather radius cap
The maximum value of the vanilla Weather Effects Radius option is raised, so particles can spread over a wider area.
Vanilla setting kept
The mod uses the existing Weather Effects Radius option rather than adding a separate one, so the in-game menu stays familiar.
Adjustable extension
The author notes that the default maximum combined with vanilla particle handling leaves room for a larger value, and that the exact effect depends on how many blocks are in view.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.

Use cases
Wide weather views
A player who wants rain and snow visible across a larger part of the landscape can set the radius above the vanilla limit.
Screenshots and visual builds
Players who take scenic screenshots or build weather-heavy scenes can extend the particle range without changing anything else in the game.
Who it’s for: Players who want more visible weather around them on a single-player world or a client that joins any server, since the mod runs on the client alone.
How it compares
Weather Extended is a NeoForge mod for 1.21.1, released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only as open source, and it runs on client and server. Horror Weather is also NeoForge, for 1.21.1 – 26.2, under a custom license that is not open source, and it needs the server too. Extended Weather Radius differs by being Fabric and NeoForge, client-side only, and covering 1.21.11 – 26.2 under the MIT License.

What the author says
Increases the possible maximum setting for the "Weather Effects Radius" option. The default maximum radius for weather particles when combined with vanilla Minecraft's particle system leaves a lot to be desired in the visual department, in my opinion. This mod improves on that by increasing the maximum possible…
