Extended Mushrooms

by cech12

Extended Mushrooms adds new mushroom blocks, items and growth rules to Minecraft, with food, a crafting variant and a way to turn cows into mooshrooms.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.15.2 – 1.20.1

What it does

New mushrooms come with their own wood types, and Huge Mushrooms grow at random ticks with a chance of 1 in 25, much like trees. Mycelium and Podzol mushrooms grow only where the light level is below 13, and Huge Mushroom blocks change behaviour: a Mushroom Stem Block drops itself, and Brown and Red Mushroom Blocks drop related mushrooms at a chance. Shears with Silk Touch return the block itself, and placing four mushrooms in a 2x2 area lets a mega mushroom grow.

Mushroom Spores turn Dirt into Mycelium and cows into mooshrooms when used with a right click. Grilled Mushroom and Mushroom Bread are food items; the Grilled Mushroom is also cooked in a campfire, furnace or smoker. Fairy Ring is a crafting variant that combines items with mushrooms placed on the ring. The mod requires Minecraft Forge and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge across six game versions, 1.15.2 – 1.20.1, under the MIT License, which makes the mod open source.

What the author says

This is a Minecraft Forge mod which changes some mushroom behaviour and adds mushroom related blocks, items and recipes. Huge Mushrooms can grow at random tick with a chance of 1:25 like trees. A difference to trees is, that Huge Mushrooms can only grow on specific blocks. On Mycelium and Podzol a mushroom can grow…
