Eternal Fire│永恆之火

by Special_TT

Eternal Fire changes how Blazes behave, so that their fire spreads to the surroundings and their attacks set ground and entities alight.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltServer required, client optionalMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.4 – 1.21.11

What it does

Blazes gain a set of fire-related mechanics. Their attacks include small fireballs that create small fire explosions where they hit, damaging blocks and nearby mobs. Blazes also keep generating fire on the tiles around them, and a Blaze that is burning gains armor each second up to a cap of 10, while regenerating health at a steady rate. A Blaze that touches water turns it into pebbles, and Blazes drop at least one Blaze Rod on death.

Only the server has to run the mod, while players may join without installing it. Eternal Fire is open source under the MIT License and is published for 1.21.4 – 1.21.11. Its optional dependency, Item Components, is only needed for one feature, so it can be left out when that feature is not wanted.

Key features

  1. Fire around Blazes

Blazes continuously create fire on the positions around them, which makes Blaze areas more dangerous to cross.

  2. Burning Blaze armor and regeneration

While a Blaze is on fire, it gains armor each second up to 10 points and regenerates one health every two seconds.

  3. Fireball explosions

Small fireballs fired by Blazes create small fire explosions that damage blocks and nearby mobs.

  4. Water and fire interaction

Blazes turn water they touch into pebbles, and touching fire or lava sets a Blaze alight as in vanilla.

Blaze Attack Animation is published under All rights reserved for 1.19.4 – 26.3 on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and it is needed on the server, with the client optional. Reversible Rods is licensed under the MIT License, with files for 1.21.2 – 26.3, and the server alone is enough to run it while players may skip it. Eternal Fire covers the same Blaze behavior on its own range, with changes limited to Blazes.
