Epic Hamon: Ripples of the Past

by MakutaZeml

Epic Hamon: Ripples of the Past is a Forge compatibility bridge that connects the Hamon skills of Ripples of the Past with the combat system of Epic Fight.

ForgeClient and serverGNU General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.16.5

What it does

The bridge lets Hamon skills from Ripples of the Past be used inside Epic Fight combat. Players open the Hamon menu in Epic Fight's combat mode and choose a Hamon technique depending on the attack they are performing, so the skills fit the existing fighting controls rather than adding a separate set of keys.

The addon adds several Overdrive variations: a Hamon overdrive shift, a Yellow Sunlight Overdrive, a Scarlet Overdrive, an Overdrive Barrage and a Metal Silver Overdrive. A video of the skills in use, recorded at Hyrule Castle in Breath of the Wild, is linked from the author text.

The mod is for 1.16.5 and is built for Forge. Both the server and every player need it, so the environment is client and server. The source code is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, which makes the project open source.

Key features

  1. Hamon in Epic Fight combat

Hamon skills from Ripples of the Past can be selected and used while fighting with Epic Fight's combat mode active.

  2. Attack-dependent Hamon menu

The Hamon menu opens during combat, and the technique offered depends on the attack that is being performed.

  3. Overdrive variations

Five Overdrive forms are included: a Hamon overdrive shift, Yellow Sunlight, Scarlet, Overdrive Barrage and Metal Silver.

  4. Compatibility layer

The mod works as a bridge, so it adds no new Hamon system of its own and depends on the skills it connects.
