Entris changes how the enchanting table spends experience, with a numerical level input and a trial-based cost system.

What it does

Entris reworks the enchanting table so that a player enters a target level from the keyboard instead of choosing from fixed options. Each trial uses lapis and experience, and the chosen level is lowered according to the number of bookshelves placed near the table. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, covering 1.20 – 1.21.4, and it requires Fabric API and Forgified Fabric API. Entris runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. It is released under the MIT License and is open source.

  1. Keyboard level entry

    A player types the enchantment level as a number, up to a maximum of 30 levels.

  2. Trial cost system

    Each trial consumes lapis and experience, and the enchant level is reduced in steps of 30 per trial.

  3. Bookshelf influence

    Bookshelves placed near the enchanting table lower the level cost, which rewards building a proper setup.
