Simple Voice Chat Enhanced Groups adds server-side group commands for Simple Voice Chat, including automatic nearby grouping and persistent groups that outlive their members.
What it does
The mod adds commands that work with the groups of Simple Voice Chat. The /instantgroup command places every nearby player who is not in a group into one group, using a default range of 128 blocks that can be replaced by a number given as the first argument. The /persistentgroup command creates a group that stays on the server after every player leaves it and after a restart.
A config option can force the group type for players who create groups through the Simple Voice Chat screen, with the values OFF, NORMAL, OPEN and ISOLATED. This is useful on servers that used the global open groups option of older Simple Voice Chat versions. The forced type does not apply to the commands the mod provides, so permission levels in the config should be raised to limit them. The mod requires Simple Voice Chat, and it runs on the server only, so players join without installing it. Builds exist for Fabric and Quilt across 26 release versions, 1.19.2 – 26.3, and the code is not open source, as the mod is released under All rights reserved.
