Elytra-Slot
Elytra Slot gives players a dedicated equipment slot beside the armor slots, so an elytra can be worn together with a chestplate.
What it does
The slot appears next to the chestplate slot in both the survival and creative inventory. Players can put an elytra there while keeping a Netherite Chestplate or any other chestplate on, so armor protection and elytra flight are no longer a choice between the two. The author describes the setup as a compromise between defense and mobility.
The slot works in the vanilla way: shift-clicking an elytra in the inventory sends it straight to the slot, right-clicking one in the hotbar equips it instantly, and a regular click takes it out again. The elytra stays in its slot across game sessions. The slot uses a custom icon styled after the vanilla equipment slots.
Elytra Slot is published for Fabric only, with files for 26.2. It is licensed under the MIT License and is not open source. Both the server and every player need the mod, so it has to be installed on each side.
