Elytrafy

Elytrafy lets players combine an armour chestplate with an elytra at a crafting table, producing a wing that also gives chest protection.
What it does
The mod adds a crafting recipe that merges a protection armour piece with an elytra, so the result can be flown with while still covering the torso. Enchantments are removed during the combination. Files exist for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, built for 1.21.11, 26.1.2 and 26.3, with 1.0.1 for 26.3 as the latest file. Client and server both need the mod, and the code is not open source; it is released under All rights reserved.

Chestplate and elytra crafting
A crafting table recipe joins a protection chestplate with an elytra into one item that can be worn and flown.
Protection kept while gliding
The combined item keeps the protective value of the chestplate, so gliding does not leave the torso unprotected.
Enchantments removed
The combination strips existing enchantments from the pieces it uses, so the result starts without them.
